What pre-employment/vetting checks are required for the role?

Pre-employment checks assess your suitability for employment and will be conducted in accordance with the HM Government Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), which includes checks into:

  • Identity
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Employment history
  • Criminal record (unspent convictions). If a higher level of criminal record check is required, this will be stated in the advert. Further information on security vetting can be found on the GOV.UK website.

Additional checks may include:

  • Nationality
  • Residency
  • Health
  • Police Barred list (for former police officers and staff).
  • Workplace misconduct, which may include us contacting your former employers for references.

 

You will also need to obtain National Security Vetting clearance to the level specified in the job advert.
